Pete Sullivan is a versatile saxophonist known for his soulful, funky sound, effortlessly covering everything from jazz classics to modern pop, R&B, and Latin. Performing regularly at weddings, events, and local venues, Pete’s solo saxophone and pro sound system create an engaging experience whether in a club or an intimate outdoor setting.
Inspired by his father’s jazz collection, Pete started playing alto sax as a teenager. He honed his skills with the HCC Big Band, studying music theory, classical, and jazz. Over the years, Pete has performed with various groups, including Amplified Company, Mafia de Cachipay, and Undebel Flamenco, expanding his musical footprint across genres and locations.
Iris Jazztet
Pete’s group, Iris Jazztet, delivers jazz standards and original compositions with a core lineup of sax, piano, bass, and drums, and sometimes includes trumpet or vocals. The band is based in both Bogotá, Colombia, and Houston, Texas, and has an album release planned for early 2025.
Free Radicals
An original member of the Houston-based Free Radicals and Free Radicals Street Band, Pete contributes both baritone sax and original compositions across nine albums, performing at festivals and clubs throughout Houston and beyond.
